As a member here for a while and not being a Polk owner I'd thought it would be time to get an explanation of model lines. As w/ Klipsch it'spretty easy to distingush model lines and then go into archives to see what their spec are.I know you can do this w/ Polk but again for me they kinda all look the same w/varying specs and build quality.

1.TSI
2.RT1
3.Monitor towers
4.LSI

So as these 4 grades of speakers go what's the difference, build quality different components price point. To me most look very similar except the higher end LSIs.
If I left out any new lines I do apologise as again not w/ the p line.

There is absolutely no information on any of this on the website.

I think he wants to know the differences between the lines. The only thing the polk audio site compares is within the same line, like obviously rti a5 is worse then rti a7.

    Monitor series- TSI
    Rti series- RTIA
    Lsi series-LSIM

Maybe you get confused between the older models and the newer ones. Polk may not be as descriptive as Klipsch, but they still do a good job decifering between the lines. If you want more minute details, just ask on the forum. It's not that hard to figure out which line is better than the other.
For me anyway, I don't buy a speaker based on whats in it, parts used, blah,blah......it's how it sounds to my ears. A speaker is more than just a collection of parts.

    Really? :surprised:
Read each one of the overview pages for each line. Compare the tech specs (driver complements, frequency response, efficiency, crossover, weight, etc...). Prices are there, too. Search the forum. Some of the most popular questions are,
"What's the difference between RTiA and Monitor?"
"Is it worth it to upgrade from RTi to LSi?"
    "Monitor vs. RTi"

And also, it may be a generalization, but I'm sure it holds true, at least within Polk's lines - more expensive = better.

I guess leftwinger only visits the forum and goes no further. There is all kinds of info here.

Must be like those that see only the drivers between the monitor line and RTI lines. They look at the box and driver complement and think there must not be a difference and do not read any more.

    Show us more pictures.
