I'm possibly interested but can't really find any info online about the unit. Can it do hi res or do you have a link regarding the player?

    Thanks!

You've got to move to the Touch for 24/96; BUT, this is a great way to get your feet wet, at a GREAT price.

Question, if your other sales opportunities don't pan out, can this be used to stream FREE pandora directly off the interwebs like I do with my laptop? My wife likes pandora, but we don't do a subscription option, just the free website. If it does, put me in line next.
    Thanks

Yes you can use Pandora and Spotify and control it all w/ your iDevice or Android device like all the other SB's. Frankly I wish the Touch looked like the SB Classic - I love the stereo meters more than the tiny color screen.

You can set the touch to play several graphics, including some very cool analog VU meters. Much better than the SB v.3, IMO.

Yes you're correct - the Touch has both VUs and the Spectrum analyzer. Perhaps my issue is with the screen size :) It's not bad - just a bit tiny. 'IMO'

It's larger than the SB v.3 if memory serves.

I have a SB v3 (Classic) - 7.6" wide vs 5.9" wide for the Touch.

There's a good wiki here for all the SB's in general for anyone who's looking:

But what about the usable viewing area? I had a SQB v.2 and it had the same usable viewing area as the v.3, even though the visual configuration was different.

Personally I think the OLED display of the Classic is pretty sexy. Gives a subtle and refined look... An expensive look. A "less is more" thing. The Transporter uses the same type of display.

Anyway, I certainly wouldn't dismiss it for the display, and I think I may even prefer it to the full-color Touch. An LCD will always look like an LCD, and LCDs just don't have that same refined feel about them IMO. The OLED display on the Classic is so black that it is indistinguishable from the rest of the unit, so all you see is glowing characters. Very nice.

But of course this is completely subjective and YMMV.

SB Classic screen width is like 5.75" wide whereas the Touch is 3.75" wide. I agree w/ Syndil - I thought the all black face and the OLED display was more legible from a distance and generally classy. But ultimately I have 2 Touches vs 1 Classic (and 1 Boom), so progress wins out I guess.

Still - as you mentioned, the Classic is a great first SB and the price is definitely right.
