    If the drivers all work, they are totally worth it. Screw the missing sl2000, you'd replace it anyway.

    I talked to the guy with the $100 ones. All of the drivers are frozen.
    Main system:
    Denon PRA-1500, Denon POA-2400, Denon TU-660, Denon DCD-2560, Denon DVD-2910, Denon DRS-640, Denon DP-30L II w/DL-301 mc cart, BSR EQ-3000, DCM Timeframe 600's

    I'd explain to him what it will cost to replace the drivers, the caps/resistors on the Xover and offer him $25. His only other option will be to give them away or haul 'em to the dump.

    You could also point out that you'll be saving him the trouble of doing the latter :smile:

    Hell I can't get him to answer the phone! Tried 3 times now. Oh well, I got enough projects I guess.

    I got some hi-rez pics of the $100 SDA'S in Atlanta. They are in very rough condition. The rubber surrounds and passives are all moldy besides the drivers being frozen. I was going to drive 5 hours 1way but talked myself out of it. The guy will take $75 for anyone that is closer that may be a better deal for you.
    Halo71, did you go pick up the ones from Keith yet?

    Well there is a way to fix the frozen drivers, magnet shift thingy. Seen a DIY thread a while back about it somewhere. I might still try to contact that guy again.

    And no, it seems Keith has decided to keep his SDA's.

    I could never get an answer on the phone number but his wife will reply quickly to the email link. If I were closer I would grab them fast for $75!
    So the frozen drivers ARE repairable? You wouldn't have a link to that , would ya?

    I don't remember now where that link is. Think I first seen it on AK then here later on. Little bummed today, between not getting the SDA's and 3 strike outs at 2 goodwills and a Salvation Army. Looking at some DIY projects to do now I think.
