Speakers to go with my receiver

Hey folks:
I'm new to this community, having joined only after buying a pair of TSi100 bookshelf speakers to replace an old Sony setup. While the TSi100's are entry level, I have really been enjoying them. The problem is now I'm feeling the need to upgrade again because I feel like I've been bit by a sound bug. If the jump from the Sony's to an entry level but better sounding Polk set has me wanting, I can't imagine how good my music would sound with a little more power and richer sound!! Holy Cow!!
(Is this what happens when the good sound bug bites you? I hope I'm not getting obsessive with this fast-becoming hobby.)
Anyway, the down side for a beginner is that it seems the more I read about a/v receivers, the more confused I get on what specs are trustworthy and which ones are the result of creative marketing. Its really made upgrading speakers a more daunting task than I would have thought.
In this context, I have no idea if my unit can truly push 90W per channel. So I ask...does anyone know if that's the case, and more importantly, is the VSX-50 a good fit for the next step up in the Polk family...the RTiA3's?
I would like to move the TSi100's to the back as the surrounds of a 5.1 setup, and make the RTiA3's as my mains in a modest setup. Any suggestions?
In the meantime, I have really enjoyed reading and learning from this community. Its been less than a month but its a whole new world. So thank you and have a great day!

Better off with the 1121 in my opinion. If you got the upgrade bug now. It only gets worse. Unless you want to spend the extra dough for a higher end elite, the 1121 has the preouts that everyone loves on this site ( me included ). Oh yaeh Evetchkin rules.

Born and raised in New England so I'm a Bruins fan but I do go to lots of Caps games now that I live here and Alex the Great is quite a player.
In regards to the 1120, when I bought the VSX-50 I was thinking that it was the perfect receiver for my needs. I tried it out in a room at a Magnolia store - up against Yamaha and Denon equivalents ($600-ish receivers) and I just liked the sound the VSX-50 gave. The Denon was maybe a little warmer which is appealing to a lot of people, but the Pioneer had a clearer sound. We went through a few different speaker sets and time and again, I picked the Pioneer. I even told the guy to randomly switch so I would guess, and it was easier than I would have thought. (Though the guy could have been lying to me to make a sale but I doubt it).
Anyway, what do you think about the RTiA3's with the Pioneer? -
Can't speak about the 3's. I have a set of the 1's powered by Pioneer vsx-33. I'm quite happy with but if you keep adding speakers you will probably want more power.
