a minor rant - broke a very vintage "polk audio" grille badge last night

It is very (very) cold in New England at the moment... last night, I was lighting a fire in the fireplace. I use one of those Scripto "Aim and Flame" lighters for such duty. As I took it from the shelf, I dropped it in front of the fireplace. It hit the (hardwood) floor, took a bounce, and glanced off of one of my Monitor 7As. It hit the hapless speaker's "polk audio" badge in just the wrong place, and broke that cast pot metal badge in two! Dagnabbit.
I tried epoxying it. It held fairly well but broke again when I tried to re-install the grille. These speakers are early 7As with the "super Velcro" fasteners that require some encouragement to fasten.
Fortunately I do have a spare pair of grille badges of the same era (on a newer pair of Monitor 5s). I've 'borrowed' one of those & installed it. It is still not the perfect fix, though - the originals sport silver-colored letters (on a black background); the ones from the Monitor 5 are the same shape, size, and "font"... but are champagne-colored :-P
It's always something!
^^^ that's the logo in question, FYI ^^^

I don't know if this helps but I have a pair of grille badges from some Monitor 7s in the champagne color. They're about 2.5" long with one post on the back for attaching to the grille. They show some wear; bought them used on ebay. They're yours if you want them. I can send pics later tonight if you're interested.

That's unbelievably nice of you! Thanks very much for the offer. I was really only whining :-) I figured spares would be pretty hard to find!
If they match cosmetically (i.e., the "font" is consistent) I would be interested. I'll PM ye later.
Feel free to post a photo here, too, if you wish.
I'll try to photograph mine later, too... for completeness. -

That sure is putting it nicely! Sweet speakers and thanks for the data sheet. -
Here's a link to my post with the picture from ebay. It doesn't show the back side or the wear on them very well. Better pics to come tonight.

Now that sucks! Sorry to hear of your busted badge. On a similar situation but different, I was installing a set of controls on a customers HD. I dropped the 5/16 wrench and it bounced off the Cat Eye dash (broke the glass) bounced off the tank (chipped the paint) then bounced ff the carb cover (dinging the chrome). That was time to call it a day lol. About 9:30 in the morning lol)Too much **** to list....

Super Glue. Should work, I think! But it's probably better to go with the replacements.
Those are made of metal? Hmmm...I just took a look at my M-5As (silver and metallic, indeed).
I can "completely" identify with this (although currently I'm missing the badges from both my Dynaco A25s and KLH 17s, however, thanks to Big Dawg..I'll be picking up a set of grills for the Monitor 10s I bought a while back).
I really have to hear the 7s, still.
