Looking for a nice set of powered monitors that i can use for my computer set up. So far Ive looked into Audio engine 5+ or the Emotive Pro's. Seeing what else you may have floating around. Depending on what you have and that I am unable to sell my amp I may trade it.

I've owned or demo'd at least a dozen powered monitors(Audio Engine, NHT, ROKR, etc etc) and my Quad's have spanked every single one of them easily. Not to mention in build quality alone. At the very least go with an Audio Engine setup.

Quad Active 12L(Current) or Active 11L would be my serious suggestion for a solid warm presentation, smooth midrange and punchy bass without being toooo...Polky or tapping a lot.

CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I checked out that audiogon ad, and it just so happens to be a seller that I've dealt with on there before. He was great to work with, and I would recommend dealing with him if you decide to go that route.

Well i just sold my b&k amp but i still have my pre amp if i need it. Eveything is going to be run through my CA dac magic as well. I saw some audioengines before and i really liked them. Checked out your add and wrote the seller for some pictures as well. The other pair i was looking at was these

They have a handful of people who like them here, not a huge following by any means. Only a few of them have actually owned them. The ones you posted could be priced a hair lower and at least the cosmetic damage is on the bottom but its enough to keep me away personally. I don't mess with stuff that isn't mint for the most part anymore, just no need since there is always something else around the corner. Good luck.

Powered monitors are an underrated choice as they have come a long way since a decade ago.

Leaning towards the quads you suggested to get my hands dirty. There is a pair of 12L's for just a hair more so they either one i think will be nice.
