I am using a hca 1200 parasound amp to drive my two front speakers. I like the sound . I was wondering if I purchased another hca 1200 and ran one to each speaker if it would improve my sound even better? As always. Thank you. Darryl

IMO, the best answer is a very qualified, Yes. However, I think the improvement would be very slight. Definitely not as much effect as adding the first one. In the end, you're still just working with an RTi speaker. You've probably already pushed it close to its ceiling, with regard to the power you're supplying it. What are you using for a pre? What about ICs?

That's good stuff there. Personally I don't think it would get too much better for you, but that's a decision you'll have to make. Like I suggested before, the return on investment with a second one is not likely to be as great as it was with the first. That's a pretty capable amp on its own, and the RTi12s, while big, are still fairly efficient 8 ohm speakers. Yes, everybody here agrees that they need sufficient power, and I think you've already got it, but if you're one of the guys who always needs more, more, more, then go for it. The only harm would be to your wallet!

Usually bridging a stereo amp doesn't sound as good as if you left it as a stereo amp. There are exceptions, but since the Parasound appears to be a standard push/pull design you may actually degrade the signal by using each amp in bridged mode.

    Something to think about.
