Wow, the Saints are really good...

My 49ers played the half of their lives and only go into halftime with a 3 point lead. Thats gotta be demoralizing...
The Saints look like they can beat anybody right now. You know you're a good team when you can make that many mistakes and still be down by only 3 points.
Here's hoping we can keep it close in the second half and pull it out at the end, but is be lying if I said I'm not nervous given what I just saw in the first half.

Brees is either playing like crap, or the 49ers are playing amazing defense."Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. He said: "Let's face it - there's evidence to support it."Best Buy is for people who don't know any better. Magnolia is for people who don't know any better and have more money to spend.

wow talk about seeing the glass half full... these two teams are both embarrassing themselves right now. 6 turnovers, dropped passes left and right, horrible play calling... i'm about to pull my hair out watching this awful excuse for a 2nd round playoff game.

Wow, Tebow time must now apply to everyone... crap game into amazing game in 3 minutes. Who Dat? Who cares, they are going home.

49ers win, woo hoo!!!!!!
-
Exciting finish! Great game to watch!"Everything I ever did in my life worthwhile I caught hell for"

Saint's gave away the game. Got what they deserved.
Give credit to that great defense by the 9ers. -
Give credit to the whole team..
-
Niners game was great! Their defense has been good all season long. I am happy to see the Saints go down in a great game.
Now... Last stand of the anti-christ.. against the Patriots....

All I have to say is that defense "is" necessary. Green Bay needs to watch out that we don't see a similar game tomorrow. Of course that depends on "which" Giants team shows up!

The Broncos game was over in two drives!!! What a shame I hate seeing a team get slaughtered like that except the Cowboys!!! LOL!!
-
The Patriots are clearly on another level than the Broncos. I was glad to see the Broncos beat the Squeelers, but they're clearly outclassed by the Patriots. The AFC is really weak this year, Patriots are clearly the best team to me in that division and they're not that great.
I think any of the 3 teams left in the NFC can and likely will beat the best the AFC has to offer. -
If the Pats had some defense, which they "don't" they could easily hang with any NFC team, no problem. Alas, they just don't have the necessary personnel. In almost all their SB wins their defense was "better" than this! Frankly, Green Bay has exactly the same problem!

You mean the awesome defense that gave up 32 points? hehe I'm not taking anything away from the 49r's at all. The better team won, IMHO. But I think it's also fair to say that the Saint's poor (as per usual) defense and general inability to make key tackles certainly didn't hurt the 49r's. haha
Yep, very disappointed in their performance tonight. 49'ers played a good game and that defense was impressive. The offense was so so but to their credit they made the big plays when they needed to. They came well prepared, the Saints seemed to think it was going to be a cake walk, didn't see any fire in their defense. Drew did what he could, and almost pulled it off but truthfully, they deserved to lose this one.HT SYSTEM-

Brutal hitting, and i think this is the nfl we should get used to, with concern over concussions and star qbs not lasting full seasons, the rules changes favor offense.
I thoroughly enjoyed the game.humpty dumpty was pushed -
Who's got it better than us Nobody!!!! Hell yea! 9ers #1
-
la9ers..9ers are lucky my Saints spotted them 17 points!..lolo..That was one hell of a catch at the end.Good luck next week.Oh and welcome back 49ers!..Man i missed those match up's when we where in the same divison.
-
Your team didn't spot them 17 points, we took the ball away from you. The 49ers weren't 'lucky' and the Saints didn't give them the game. The 49ers just did to the Saints what they've been doing to teams all years, they were something like +28 on turnovers coming in to the game which is ridiculous, so nothing new for them.
You could argue that without the turnovers the 49ers don't win that game (and you'd be right). The turnovers are part of their gameplan though, and who they are. An argument that if the Saints didn't score so many points on offense they would win less games would be just as meaningful (and also just as correct).
Every team has their strengths and the 49ers certainly showed theirs yesterday. The Saints didn't hand anything to the 49ers, and they didn't choke. Both teams played their game and in the end the 49ers won, simple as that.
To suggest that the 49ers were lucky sounds like someone being a poor sport.
The Saints are clearly a good team because even with all that they still had a good chance to win it there at the end, they just weren't better than the 49ers. -
Smith getting his due to go from being picked before Rodgers, the hype was on and everyone considered him a bust 7 different cordinaters, it took Harbaugh to build the confidence back up in this guy and a good job he did, i'am not a 9ers fan but will root for them to topple the Giants, (ha ha ) that is if they beat the Pack looking forward to the Packer game tonight. I guess a Rodgers Smith showdown would make for a great NfC championship game, the
Giants look like they wont go down without a fight.Home Theater
