I just upgraded from my old coaxials (2-5x7s and 2-6 1/2s) to your new models(i have insurance at circuit city) and i noticed the decibel rating is lower. I have them hooked up the same as the old ones but they dont sound as clear or as loud. arent new speakers suppossed to be better? im extremely dissapointed because im a hardcore fan of my polk audio coaxials (just ask my friends). thanx a lot.

the way i have mine hooked up is i have 4" rockfords in the front in stock enclosures but because i have only 4" in the back and i have 4 much bigger speakers i had to improvise i have 2- 5x7s and 2- 6 1/2"s and basically i just screwed them down to the back of a two 12" sub sealed box and put it in my back seat. i think the difference is that i didnt let them break in first and when i hooked up the 4 they were wired in a series-- a 6 1/2" wired from the stock speaker enclosure and a 5x7 hooked up to that 6 1/2" and the same on the other side but when i upgraded i only got the 5x7s back so they are hooked up alone and they dont provide the same mids as the 6 1/2s so im just gonna be patient before i say the new ones arent as amazing as the last. and trust me ill let everyone know if they are or arent once i get it all hooked up again. thanx
