SDA1A questions

Looking for thoughts on this model. They don't seem to be one of the more popular SDA models. Perhaps I am wrong. I see some pics listed as 1A's with the tweeters horizontally, some with the tweeters vertically. Is the latter really 1A's?

Also I am fairly sure this is okay. But will an Onkyo Integra M504 be okay with the speakers. It is common ground correct?

The SDA 1 and 1A had horizontal tweeters. If they are vertical they would be 1B's.

Not sure about your Integra M504. If you have a VOM you can test it at the negative outputs.

Your m-504 is just fine. My friend runs one with his without issue it is common ground.

Most who have heard both tend to prefer the later model SDA's without the dimensional tweeter. I've never heard the dimensional tweet, so I can't comment there.

Okay dumb question time. I read where many disconnect that dimensional tweeter. By doing this does it make them closer to be 1B's or 1C's?

    Yep, still different, but closer.

Im sure they sound great, even if they aren't the newer model. It depends on the price and how hard it is to find SDA's in your area.

Iv'e used an Integra M504 with SDA's and had no problems...Great amp
