Yep. That Musiland is a cool piece for sure. I like that it has its own DAC and analog outs as well as SPDIF outs.

Yup, will be using its DAC's until I can upgrade the rest of my system (speakers, dedicated amp possibly) enough to justify a Benchmark DAC 1 HDR, then that will take over

Nice. That's interesting, cuz my experience with the 02 is from my dad's system, and briefly my system, but he ran his 02 to a Benchmark DAC-1. Sounded great.

Yup the HDR has volume control AND Asynchronous USB. Volume control is mainly what I am after, otherwise the DAC-1 or DAC-1 USB would work.

Eventually I would like my system to be simply Computer-DAC/Pre-Amp-Speakers. But thats years out since I dont forsee having the money or space anytime soon

Intel Q9650 overclocked to 4 Ghz with 8 Gigs of DDR2 1066 . I should be fine.

Pssh get with the times. That's outdated technology now!

LOL, I disagree. The iX series (mostly i5 and i7) are better, but not by enough to justify the cost since it would require a new mobo and new memory as well.

Lots of folks are still running their Pentium's and Core 2 Duo's and this will kill em lol....
