Stereo vs Digital Interconnects

Sorry for the newb question, but I would like to buy new interconnects for my amps but I'm not sure on which type to buy. Do I want stereo or digital for my application? I'm guessing stereo would work, but would digital sound better?
I use my Yamaha receiver as a preamp, with an optical input from the tv, and HDMI input from the PS3, I listen to the built in HD radio, and I also listen to music from my laptop through a 1/8"-RCA cable. I use 3 preouts from my amps - 2 preouts from the main left and right speakers, and 1 preout for an amp to the center channel.

AVR - Yamaha Aventage RX-A800
Amps - B&K Components ST2140 (for mains) and Parasound HCA-1000A (bi-amping center)
Mains - RT1000i Towers
Center - CS400i
Sub - BIC Acoustech PL200
My neighbors listen to very good music, whether they like it or not

You can use either. The only difference is that a digital cable is going to be rated at 75 Ohms, but impedance doesn't matter for audio. So a digital cable can be used for either audio or digital, but an audio cable that is not rated at 75 Ohms should not be used for digital.

I think I have 5 monster brand interconnects; bought them off the forum awhile back. I have replaced all of my IC's with kimber Kable PBJ's and silver streaks (looking for a one more single IC). I will gladly give you the monster ones, which are nice quality for a very reasonable price - how about you pay shipping? That way you are not getting in too deep and you can see if they make a difference compared to what you have now. Let me know.
Or if you want to go another route, try these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Outlaw-Audio-PSC-3-5-Meter-Composite-Video-Digital-Coax-Cable-/280749827794?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item415dfe66d2

A digital IC is stereo, so I don't understand the question?
Does the OP mean a digital cable vs. analog cables? Typically analog cables only carry one channel, the exception being the the 1/8" jack which carries both channels but is a very poor type of connector compared to others.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -
