Up for your consideration is my Yamaha RX-V2600 HT receiver. This receiver boasts 130 wpc by (7) channels, HDMI inputs and outputs, multi-zone capable, THX rated, Dolby Digital EX & ProLogic IIx.
Has multi-channel inputs and pre-outs for all (7) channels (in case you want to connect outboard amplifiers). Here is a link with all the info. on this unit.

http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio...e=model#tag607

The receiver is in very good to exceptional condition with all functions working as they should. There is some scratching next to the HDMI inputs on the rear of the unit from plugging and unplugging cables in & out. This has been at the heart of my HT system since I purchased it new a few years back and it has performed flawlessly. It will come complete with the original box & packing, original manual, YPAO set-up microphone and both remotes. I will double box for safe shipping. I don't have great photos, as it in my entertainment center, but I have included a shot of the front of the receiver.

If there are any questions, feel free to PM me.

$300.00 plus actual shipping.

the lights must go dim in your hood when you power up the system!
are you running all of the amps and avr simultaneously? if so, how?!
what is the rest of your system? how is it configured?
did you just use the yamaha as a preamp?
    just curious!

    do you use it/like it?
under what circumstances and with what kind of music?
    thanks

That would explain the blue flashlight on the top shelf!

lol! Yep receiver (used as a peamp/processor) and amps run simultaneously. Everything runs off of two 20 amp dedicated circuits through power conditioner. Really have had no dimming of lights, etc. actually, I've only had the line voltage dip to about 116 volts when all is powered up. Maybe I'll post the rest of the system in the appropriate part of the forum, when I get a chance.

I don't use the Sonic Holography, actually none of my Carver equip. in the cabinet offer it. I've had other Carver stuff with SH, it was OK. I'm a simple guy, no tone controls or I leave them flat, or turned off.

Can zone 2 on this play digital sources while Zone 1 is playing another digital source?

I have never used the multi-zone feature. But I think the answer is yes, but the Zone 2 & Zone 3 outputs are analog only. From the link above, you can download the OM, Zone control starts on page 115.

I downloaded the manual last night. Could not figure out the answer to that question. My current receiver HK AVR 247 cannot do this, and I want to have my sunroom speakers (zone 2), play the digital output of my squeezebox touch, while the main zone is playing the HDMI digital from comcast in the living room. My current solution has me using 2 receivers (an old Sony ES series receiver I have), but it would be nice if one box could do the job.

I can email the tech support at Yamaha, probably won't get an answer until next week.

Why ? Then when one box goes down, your out of cable and music. You could also just connect the analog outputs of the touch to zone 2 also.

I use an old receiver upstairs that has speaker a and b switching for my kitchen and deck area. I use a sonos so One box upstairs, one downstairs, one wireless controller, or an app for a phone, and I can play different things in each zone or tie it all together. May not be the solution in your case, but eliminates alot of multi room connectivety problems.

AFAIK, zone 2 is analog only. I do what tonyb is suggesting and use the analog output. Works fine in my case. It has been that way for every one of the receivers that I have owned.

I cannot use the analog outs of the touch, because those are connected to my 2 channel rig in the front room. I do not want to mess with splitters either in the 2 channel rig as its got synergy right now.

Could you use this adapter to go through the optical out put to zone 2?
