Can a nameplate be safely removed?

Appears to be glued, but I don't want to pull too hard. Any advice on removing a plastic nameplate from grill cloth?
Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend.

    heat it up, lightly pull - probably will mess up the cloth either way
