Problem when 12V trigger is connected to amplifier

So I've run across my first problem with my new amp/receiver set up :frown:

System set up includes the A800, pre outs to the B&K amp, 12V trigger to the amp, and the amp to the RT1000i's, which also have the in-speaker amps plugged in to the wall. The 12V trigger sends a signal while the receiver is on. Receiver and amp are plugged in to the same grounded power strip.

Long story short, I had the system on for about a minute yesterday and I went to shut it off because my brother wanted to me try out the new amp he just bought. I turned off the receiver and I get a noise through my left channel speaker. The noise is the same noise that came across an analog TV with the snowy/blurry image, and it lasts for about 30 seconds almost like the amp is discharging.

I hooked up my brothers new Parasound (I never hooked up the trigger since I was just testing it out), and then switched back to the B&K and cranked on it for a while. Turned it off, no issues. I let it cool off for an hour, came back and turned it on and off a few times and it did it again. This time I found that if I disabled the trigger option on the amp and disconnected the trigger signal wire, it went away. And when I reconnected it a little bit later, it didnt come back .... until the middle of the night.

I woke up a few times during the night to the left channel making this noise, in 30 second bursts. I dont know how many times it happened, or how long it took for it to occur again as I wasnt too alert, but I finally got up and disconnected the trigger wire to make it stop for good.

Sorry for the novel, but I wanted to explain as much as possible. I double checked all connections, but nothing is out of the ordinary. The B&K amp, for those who dont know, has the enable switch on the back of the amp for the 12v trigger, and you keep the power button on the front of the amp in the on position. My only idea was to splice in to the trigger wire while this was occuring and hook a volt meter up to it to determine if my AVR was giving off a signal to the amp while it was off, but if this was occuring I would think the noise would come through both channels. Any ideas?

So I've narrowed the problem down to be isolated only when the trigger on the amp is enabled. The AVR puts out 11.6-12v during operation with the amp connected, and with the noise occuring there is no voltage on the trigger wire. Unplugging the trigger wire doesnt help. Diabling the feature or turning back on the amp is the only thing that does. I removed the cover on the amp to see if any connections were loose but nothing looks out of the ordinary. I would dig a little deeper, but capacitors and electricity scare the crap out of me.

Anyone know of a trustworthy place to get an amp serviced in Milwaukee? I found Associated Electronics, but after reading a few reviews on Google I'm not as willing to just take it there. I found Accurate TV Repair in downtown Milwaukee, but I'm still not sure. Where do you Wisconsin/Milwaukee area guys take your gear?

I tore down my system to re-do my floors a few years back and I experienced something like that.
Seems like I changed around what sockets my components were plugged into on my monster power center and it went away.

I doubt there is a problem with your amp.
