Welcome Salim, the 12's need some power behind them to shine bro. That receiver is underpowered especially in surround mode. You'll need a receiver with preouts and a decent 2 channel amp for the 12's. Do a search here for amps, read up a tad, see what others are using. A budget would also be helpfull if you want us to recomend any receivers or amps.HT SYSTEM-

+1000 on what Tony said. I had to get that over 200wpc mark to make the 12s sound like they are supposed to. Had difficulty then matching for HT. The 12s were overpowering everything else. If I had to do it over again I would have saved for a 3 ch amp. The 12s are great for HT when given enough juice. -
Thanks tonyb & deronb1 for responding, rx v-671 I have it for a while but just recently purchased onkyo tx nr-609 2 weeks back still can return it for full refund which receiver u suggest without having to add amp I was looking at yamaha aventage 3010 11.2 Channel has 150w/ch($1500.) u guys think this will do the job or u suggest little bit cheaper receiver and add additional amp total budget $1500

Cheaper receiver and a amp. That 609 won't cut the mustard either. Whatever receiver you get, it has to have preouts to be able to add an amp.HT SYSTEM-

depends on what you listen to and at what volume. also, depends in equal or greater measure on the size (volume, not sq ft) of the room and how lively or dead acoustically it is.
in all of the posts of this nature, no one ever states these factors or inquires about them.
at the end of the day, listen to what you have and trust your ears. it is subjective. go with what you like unless you just want to spend money or impress your friends. personally, my objective is to get the best sound for the least cost. love the value equation.
the only caveat is that you should not drive any speaker too hard or to distortion or you will fry them. -
by the way, i didn't look at the spec on these speakers, but polk speakers are pretty efficient, in general, and do not require excessive amounts of power under most listening conditions.
-
polk site states 90db. that is better than avg efficiency.
is more power better? yes. is it necessary. answer the above questions and listen to the kind of music and movies you normally do-not some explosive test material. -

Here you go; Onkyo TX-NR709 with pre-outs $549/Amazon, Emotiva XPA-3 (200wpc x 3) $699. Total budget = $1248 leaves $252 in pocket, plenty of $$ left over to get interconnects, speaker wire and a couple of beers.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

I just got a pair of RTi12s a couple of weeks ago and was asking similar questions. My goal was to get a good amp for a good price that had pre-outs, I ended up looking at the Onkyo 709 and then after researching a bit I found the Onkyo HT-RC370 (basically a 709 with a few less features) for a bit less than the 709 - and yes, it has pre-outs. With your budget you will probably aim for an Emotiva amp or a used one. My plan is the 3 chan Emotiva, which I don't have yet.
If you do get one of these Onyko receivers and add an amp - please let me know how it improves and if you like the amp! It will make my decision easier in a few weeks. -
Same here... Just got my replacement TX-NR809 ($649 the last two weekends and $699 during the week on Newegg) and it is night and day a better receiver than the original defective one I got. I truly believe it was a return they shipped to me originally... But...
No way I would get a receiver today without pre-outs and the newer Video HQV Video Processor... It is sick! I was playing with it tonight... It up-converted Xman 2 from 720 to 1080! All on it's own... I am used to this in Bluray when plopping in a DVD, but not on normal TV mode... Evey video source I chose offers a better picture than before...
And we got an Emotiva XPA-3 and love how it helps the RTi 12's and the CSi 5 we have open up and give clarity to everything we turn up...
Not trying to spend anyone's money, but for what it is worth, today I am very pleased with the setup...LG 55LH90 | Onkyo TX-NR809 | Emotiva XPA-3 | polkaudio RTi12 | polkaudio CSi5 | JBL ES250P | polkaudio RTi4(4)

hey guys finally got a good AVR yamaha Avantage rx-A2010 9.2 channel 140 watts/ch set me back $1200 hoping its gonna work so here is the whole 7.1 set up RTI 12 for L&R CSI-A6 for center channel and OWM3 for four surrounds & PSW505 powered sub and no amp yet so here again asking for couple of suggestions can i get by without an amp since i have 9.2 channel receiver and i am only using 7.1 so i am thinking of biamping RTI 12 L&R with the remaining 2 channels so thats 280 watts going to power hungry towers so what do you guys think thats going to be enough power to drive them??? & my next concern is for the surrounds i got 4 polk audio OWM3($100 for pair)they are rated at 100 amps and my receiver is 140 amp/ch the salesman at frys told me that they are gonna be ok i just dont wanna fry them. i know i went cheap on surrounds but read some good reviews on these OEM3's
So i am gonna wait for some expert advice or some opinions thanks -
I think that receiver will be nice. I'm not sure if the bi-amp will be of any benefit. You won't hurt those OWMs.

I think it will be hard to not love that receiver. Glad you made a good choice you are happy with =]LG 55LH90 | Onkyo TX-NR809 | Emotiva XPA-3 | polkaudio RTi12 | polkaudio CSi5 | JBL ES250P | polkaudio RTi4(4)

Next concern was the preouts cable i just orderd (3 of Mediabridge Ultra Series - Dual Shielded Subwoofer Cable - RCA to RCA Gold Plated Pro Grade Connectors (6 Feet) from amazon these says subwoofer cable but you think its gonna work??after this couple of concerns i be finally done setting up my 7.1 Home theater.

Your welcome! Congrats on your purchases. Just connect the amp to the receiver with the RCA's from the pre-outs and you'll be fine. I just picked up a pair RTiA9's and have them running off of my XPA-3 and they sound great.
As far as the sub woofer cable, uhh maybe? Not sure what to say about that. I ended up getting interconnects from emotiva when I ordered my amp. I don't see why it wouldn't but then again I guess it would depend on the gauge of the core.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2
