There was a pretty extensive thread about that website sometime back. The aren't an "Authorized" Polk dealer and there, I believe, were some complaints about poor service. Someone ordered a pair of Polks, which they didn't have and they tried to pawn off a pair of Klipsch instead....

Got my RT25i surrounds from them. No problem, received them in two days, speakers were in perfect condition. You can't beat their prices.Go for it. BTW Crutchfield, an authorized dealer, wouldn't match their prices.

Brandnamez has the RM6200/with the PSW250 for $520 and the RM6600/with the PSW350 for $720. At this price I am willing to buy the RM6600 right now. But, am worried about the dealer. I don't understand why other dealers will not match this price. Polk offered the free PSW250 a few months back (which I missed by two weeks), so if the authorized dealers could have afforded to do that then, then why not now. I mean, during the special, the RM6600 purchased at Circuit City with an upgrade to the PSW350 was, I believe, the same price as Brandnamez is selling it for now...I just don't understand.

Why do they offer it this low? Cause they donot have to honor any warrenty or such, They basically ship it off to you and they are done with it. So with the price you pay you are getting the speaker and that is it. No special perks, personalized service or anything. While at Crutchfield and such you are getting warrenties, personalized service. They are staking their name on every product they ship. That comes with a price.

And if you did some digging, I bet you would find that Brandnamez.com is actually some mom and pop store in NY that is using the internet as a means to help push their inventory out the door. Would someone in Seattle Travel to NY to shop at Mom and Pop stereo store? No, but on the internet they can ship it there, Under a different name, have 2 legitimates businesses but only be 1 person running it all.

I "think" the free subwoofer promo is Polk sponcered not the dealer.
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

I ordered all of my speakers from them. I'm always wary of these NY internet dealers, but the prices were so good, I took a chance. I first ordered a pair of RT800i's. there was a shipping delay they said due to delivery problems(September 11th). But I got them in about two weeks. I then ordered in separate orders the CS400i, FX500i's and the PSW650. All of these orders were received within about 5 business days. All speakers arrived in perfect condition and in perfect working order. Consequently, I have no experience with them regarding returns for replacement due to damage or defect. My experience with them was excellent and like you noticed, their prices are amazing.

Yup, still digging those RT7's. Almost took a chance on the 55i's, considering the low $, but I just can't give up the sweet sound of those 7's.
How 'bout you? BTW, I did buy myself a new toy,
the Home Theater Master MX-500 universal remote and LOVE it. Replaced 5 remotes with it. Maybe Santa, or Wendi, can get you one for Xmas.

Go to Circuit City and buy whatever you want and then price match it with that on Brandnamez.com. That is what I am doing with the Polk RT1000i. Have fun.

Did you have any luck price matching with Circuit City? I tried their online store and they would not price match...haven't tried actually going to the store. Please let me know if you have any luck at all.

    Thanks,

I am getting the RT1000i for $600. This was the best I could find. But considering they retail from 1000 to 1200 dollars, I am getting an incredible deal. I might trying doing it with a sub too. Anyone else have any problems with using Blue. My dad said that it was all set up and going to work. I am either going to buy them at a local store Grafitises, or CC. Good luck everyone.

Called Amex and ask about the card. I signed up for one. I checked with several of their customer service people and they will match internet prices. I will give it a try anyway.

    Thanks.

I am compelled to respond to a number of posts here.

First of all, From what I read here, I guess some CC's will pricematch and some won't. The one by me won't budge very much on price, no matter what price you say you can get for speakers elsewhere.

Regarding Brandnamez, most any e-tailer will get favorable ratings when the deal goes smoothly. The worth or any e-tailer shows when there are problems (damage/defect/etc.) and how they handle them. I think when you want the absolute best price, that's the chance you take. I have little doubt that Crutchfield, for example, will handle these problems better that most super discount e-tailers.

Finally, the subject of authorized dealers. What exactly is that? If the various e-tailers are not authorized dealers, why, or more correctly, how is it they are selling Polk speakers? The receiver makers are also famous for doing this. They will distribute their receivers to anyone that wants to carry their product line, but only honor warranties from selected dealers. Does that sound right? It almost sounds illegal. Go and buy a Hewlet Packard printer. Any place you get it from is an authorized dealer since they won't allow anyone else to sell their product. Just my 2 cents.

Just talked to Amex Blue and they stated they take Internet ads.
To file a Claim, you purchase the item, Call Blue, Make a claim, they give you a claim number, you mail in the Receipt, Claim Number and the Printed Ad of the lower priced item and they will issue a check for the difference.

Gonna try this for my PSW350 and let you all know how it works!!!
