    It might be best to build or incorporate a shelf for your TV to sit on while the center speaker is underneath. Myself and a few others have built their own. Please excuse this crude effort;

    This was my first set up and I have long since improved the aesthetics of things.

    You could, I suppose but that is something I wouldn't even consider. Why vibrate the TV even if a little and center channels aren't designed for load bearing.

    Have you thought about buying or building a riser? (geo beat me to it ;-) Without more details that seems like the most sensible solution.

    Could always float the TV above the speaker and mount it to the wall. Monoprice has durable mounts at reasonable prices.

    I have my 32" Samsung on my center temporarily. I originally had the center in my stand, but I upgraded to the cs400i and the top of the stand is the only spot it would fit. The HT system will soon be going in a rec room though, with a much larger tv and stand that the center will fit in.
    AVR - Yamaha Aventage RX-A800
    Amps - B&K Components ST2140 (for mains) and Parasound HCA-1000A (bi-amping center)
    Mains - RT1000i Towers
    Center - CS400i
    Sub - BIC Acoustech PL200

    My neighbors listen to very good music, whether they like it or not :cheesygrin:

    Here's what I did. Made with 1"X10" ash. Very sturdy and doesn't look too bad. Think I spent less than $40 on it.

    The speaker stands people have suggested are a good idea, but you have to be careful if your speaker has rear bass ports. It can make the sound boomy if they don't have enough space. You also need to make sure the front of the speaker isn't recessed in the stand or you get the effect like its in a cave. I ran into that.

    Not bad my friend, very handy work, my wife is a huge fan of "L" brackets....not. A man can never have too many "L" brackets.

    Thanks, really didn't want to use them. Didn't know how else to do that without screws showing on the top. I covered the back but left the center compartment partially open for the center channel.
