I took the little mustard switches out and put in jumpers on my 2.3tl's. I can now say is that I finally got some sparkling treble, with alot more detail! I have only had the speakers for a month or so. My first impressions were that the uppers sounded way to soft and veiled. I really wasn't impressed with them and was trying to see what all the fuss was over the 2.3tl's, but now I am getting more convinced as I am on the tweek/upgrade slope. MUCH better!

Welcome to the rabbit hole. Watch your head, and please keep all arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times. Don't be surprised if you find that it's too much after a few weeks. Personally, for that mod, I'd recommend a resistor between .1 and .2 ohm, ideally around .16-.17. That was the measured value of the original polyswitch. Yours have likely been tripped several times, and they eventually increase in resistance after each trip.

I read this and decided to jump the polyswitches on my Monitor 10Bs. They have blue polyswitches. After listening for an hour or so with the jumpers in place, I'm not sure it made much difference. The results you get with the jumpers must depend on the condition of your polyswitches. I can hear maybe just a little more sparkle to the highs but I don't hear much difference in definition. I do like the sound better with the jumpers in place. The RDO-194s have always been a little laid back for me and the jumpers seemed to help a tiny amount in that respect. I don't regret spending a few minutes to install he jumpers but I didn't hear any dramatic results I was hoping for. I guess I was expecting too much out of straight piece of wire.

I tested the old ones and they were about 1.1-1.2 ohms. Guess they were due!
