First thanks to all who responded to my question about paypal when buying from a private party.

First, unless the seller has a paypal account with enough money to pay back a disgruntled buyer after the claim is judged, buyer is out of luck.

Kinda what i thought, paypal does not pay you back with their money.

I have thought of something, although I have yet to check cost, UPS COD.

That way, not only do i not pay until goods are received, i can open them up to verify its not a box of phone books.

Anybody who has experience with ups cod, please share

Just looked, if i read correctly, its 80 cents per 100 dollars of declared value.

I think we have a solution.

Will find out tomorrow, when seller and i talk.
