Up for grabs are 3 Parasound HCA-1200ii 2 Channel Amps. I've recently upgraded the home theater amp section and am selling these. These are powerful amps that put out 215wpc @8Ohms and 400wpc @4Ohms. They can also be run as mono-bridged amps. I'll put them at 8/10 condition due to age. Very minor nick on the faceplate of one of them.

Asking $350 shipped CONUS each or best offer. I don't have the original boxes for them. Paypal gift accepted.

    Dang... if only I had a need. I'm trying really hard to think of one, too! Really, though, folks should be sending the newbies straight to this thread until they are sold. Forget a new Emo. These would be a fine solution for someone wanting to boost their fronts.

    Thanks! I'm sure you can find a good reason if you think hard enough....:lol:

    These have a mode called dual half stereo mode (or something like that). Instead of running as monoblocks which loses SQ through the bridging circuit, you can get the full available headroom through a single channel by only connecting one speaker per amp. I used 3 of these for the fronts on the home theater. Each speaker had one amp dedicated and I ran the surrounds off of the AVR. Plenty of power for any Polk speaker and a HUGE step up from an AVR and a much better buy IMO than some of the newer Johnny Come Lately's to the amp scene (to remain nameless).

    That a hell of a deal shipped! I have a 1200 and it iS a beast. You guys that want a incredible 2 ch. Better snap that up. No afilliation.

    Sorry, my bad. You used one amp each for L/C/R.

    One of these, alone, would be enough for most set-ups, at least for the L/R channels! I'm tapped out, at the moment, because I'd really be interested in one.

    I agree that anyone considering an EMO amp should really consider this Parasound as a better option.

    Recently had an xpa-2 and the parasound amp was much more musical with a very much wider soundstage and better highs.

    Of course that was in my room with my speakers ( Polk 3.1 tl's), but i would never buy the xpa-2 again considering the money saved by getting a used Parasound 1200 mkll.
