Amp hum

So, I got home this evening and was welcomed to a humming amp. I'm going to unplug it tonight and let it rest, but I haven't switched anything around lately besides some ICs. I'm concerned that this may be a snowball problem, any ideas guys? If it turns out to be a bad transformer or anything of the sort, it'll give me an excuse to send it off to big sky for a complete overhaul. Thanks in advance for any ideas...

Maybe it didn't know the words to the songs.>

is the noise coming out from speakers or the chassis? if you get it from speakers, it can be a ground loop. disconnect all the inputs and see if the noise goes away. many times is some gears that introduce noise to the amp. Ground loops are very common problems. I had the same problem with my cable box that was introducing noise in my amp. I connected the cable box to a filter and the noise went away. as I said before, just disconnect all inputs from your amp and hear if you still have any noise coming out from speakers. the amp should be quiet as a mouse.Make it simple...Make it better!

Hum is from the chassis not the speakers, like I said this just started, and I've tried tondo some digging but haven't come up with a firm answer. I don't think the new ICs should cause a hum from the amp itself, but I'm sure weirder things have happened. -

ok. open cover and see if that noise is coming from cover or transformer. is the transformer an E (block). CAREFULLY push transformer down and see if noise goes away. you can always "isolate" the transformer with rubber washers to chassis.Make it simple...Make it better!
