Amp hum

So, I got home this evening and was welcomed to a humming amp. I'm going to unplug it tonight and let it rest, but I haven't switched anything around lately besides some ICs. I'm concerned that this may be a snowball problem, any ideas guys? If it turns out to be a bad transformer or anything of the sort, it'll give me an excuse to send it off to big sky for a complete overhaul. Thanks in advance for any ideas...

Maybe it didn't know the words to the songs.

is the noise coming out from speakers or the chassis? if you get it from speakers, it can be a ground loop. disconnect all the inputs and see if the noise goes away. many times is some gears that introduce noise to the amp. Ground loops are very common problems. I had the same problem with my cable box that was introducing noise in my amp. I connected the cable box to a filter and the noise went away. as I said before, just disconnect all inputs from your amp and hear if you still have any noise coming out from speakers. the amp should be quiet as a mouse.

Hum is from the chassis not the speakers, like I said this just started, and I've tried tondo some digging but haven't come up with a firm answer. I don't think the new ICs should cause a hum from the amp itself, but I'm sure weirder things have happened.

ok. open cover and see if that noise is coming from cover or transformer. is the transformer an E (block). CAREFULLY push transformer down and see if noise goes away. you can always "isolate" the transformer with rubber washers to chassis.
