Those are very nice bookies. I have a pair I run with an old Sony CDP and a vintage Yamaha CR-800. They sound great on the Yammie 50 watt x 2 receiver and probably even better on your NAD?
I own several pairs of vintage bookshelves and the ADS are at the "very" top as far as my favorites are concerned. ADS speakers do almost everything well there is little to complain about and you can often find them at a good price unless you're dealing with some nut-job on ebay who thinks he "owns" the last pair on earth. lol
mhardy, as usual, has some Ads from the early 80s that tell you about their tweeter and the stiflite material that the woofers are made of. If I'm not mistaken they can easily reach well below 40hz on the bottom end--which is a feat for a bookshelf. And that sticky tweeter is really something. If you get a chance get your ears on the L710s or L810s which are a three way B.Shelf that incorporates a good size dome midrange made of the same materials as the tweeter. Those who have that mid-dome say their mids are to die for?
Enjoy! I know that these are a "permanent" part of my collection!
