What speakers are these?

The grills say they're advents but i've never seen anything like this... they are also bass reflex. The lables have been removed from the back. The tops are some type of shiny plexi-type material. Ported on the front at the top and bottom and real heavy for their size. What do you guys think?

They could be, judging by the cabinet shape and the tweeter... long after Henry Kloss moved on, though, of course. Maybe (EDIT) Jensen-era(?).

There's a very useful pictorial thread on identifying Advent speakers at AK. If you're not a registered member, you may not see all of the photos in the thread, though.

I've come across a pair of those in my speaker travels. I didn't end up purchasing them, but I can also add that they were labeled as Advent speakers when I saw them as well. I tried for quite a while to find the model # online but didn't end up finding it. There was also a set of floorstanders that I have seen that looked very similar. Picture these bookshelves mixed with an Advent Heritage.

Thanks for the quick replies - I just plugged them in and they have decent bass extension for their size but the HF is very bright - I don't think I could listen to them very long... looks like they'll be moving on.

The closest thing I can find is called an Advent 6003 - it is a three way, but the cabinet shape is (to my addled brain, at any rate) evocative of the speaker in the first post.
