I just purchased Rti12 and powering it with Emotiva Xpa2 so far
everything sounds cool and I'm happy with it. But I'm thinking of
bi amping it with another Xpa2. I am new at this, I welcome your
feedback. Will there be significant improvement on SQ.
Thanks

Two amps = twice the power. If you have the coin, go for it. The 12's are monsters and really open up when given a lot of juice. Let us know what you think.

You should hear some, how significant is up to you to decide that and if it's worth the coinage. Good luck and happy listening.

No because your powering two individual speaker circuits, so you dont get to add up the wattage. If you want to double the power then you can ethire bridge the amp (if it is bridge able), or he could sell his current XPA 2 and buy two XPA1 mono bocks.

I have RTi12s as well, and have been thinking about getting this amp. Are you using it to power the top and bottom, or just the bottom end? If you want to try bi-amping without spending additional $$$, you could always power the top end by a receiver (assuming you are using one) and power the bottom end with the XPA2.

The XPA-2 is bridgable, so yes, two amps = twice the power. Thanks

    Thanks for the info.
Actually Rti12 is not my first choice I'm leaning towards the Lsic series, since Frys have them on sale on a very reasonable price
I decided to give it a try with a 30 days return policy. I paired this with csi5, fxi5 and Hsu vtf2mk3 powered wit xpa2 and xpa3.
Using Umc1 as my processor. My verdict after two weeks of watching movies from Master and commander to U52 etc. etc.
Setting this speakers to full and the rest on 80. This the right speaker for my home theater i cannot ask for more. I know anything
Better than this will cost me a lot more money. Now my thought is 2 Xpa1 or bridge it with another xpa 2 if possible. Will there be
Significant improvement as far as SQ is concern. Iam a novice as far wiring is concern but Iam an avid reader of this forum.
    Your thought is more welcome.
    Thanks.

Not if the speaker is Bi Amped like the OP asked in his first post.

    Bi Amped = NO
    Bridged = Yes

I would sell the xpa2 and get the xpa1s,the xpa1 sounds much better than a bridged xpa2 .
