I went and done it. I said I wasn't wanting floorstanding speakers but ordered a pair of Monitor 50's in cherry.
The wife and I decided we really didn't want to hang speakers on wall or put on stands ( kids may tip over
stands) and I am tired of patching holes.

I got them on newegg for $99.99 each plus shipping, they fit my budget and I think will work better in the long run.

Can not wait to hear them, should have by Friday or monday. Thanks for all the input and suggestions.

Congrats! It's hard to beat those "new" for 200 or less a pair. I remember the first time I heard a pair of M-50s go up against whatever BBox brands the old CCity had. No contest, and these were only entry level for Polk at that time.

    Enjoy!

I don't have a lot of comparison experience, but I really like my 50's. I use them with my turntable. I didn't see any of your previous posts leading up to the purchase so I don't know what you are using them for...or your setup. My only recommendation would be to hook up a sub with them. Had mine hooked up for a couple weeks before I got a sub and it was a huge difference when I added it.

    Congrats either way!!

I am going to use them as rear speakers along with my RTA15TL's in front. I running an Onkyo TX-8050 reciver and an Onkyo M282 power amp, I will mainly listen to music with set up. I thought about a sub later on doen the road but will take a listen first.
