New Surround Bar6000 questions

Having problems with new surroundbar 6000. As far as I can discern my subwoofer is not working. Green light is on and steady but I don't hear anything from it. Is this what I should expect? Also, bar keeps turning itself off. Any suggestions out there for me? Thanks

    Hello,
    Thanks for posting on the CP forum. I'm going to assume you have raised the volume of the subwoofer using the credit card, correct? Does the program material, you're listening to, have any low bass information for the sub to play?
    Describe how you have connected the bar and where is the audio signal coming from?
