Feeler: Harmony 880.....

Not sure which one I want to keep between the Harmony One and the 880. Thinking about selling the 880. No idea what to ask for it, but it comes with the remote, cradle, power cord and USB cable. The only issue with it is that there is one line on the display that has pixilated, but doesn't effect functionality or performance at all. I can take pictures later tonight if anyone is interested.

My wife and I were just last night discussing what to do with all of our remotes. We have about seven of them now all in a wicker basket. She thought the idea of a programmable, control-all unit would be interesting. What asking price were you thinking?

You can replace that lcd for about $20. Easy diy if you are comfortable taking things apart. Google youtube for step by step.

Not sure what i paid; let me check and i will get back to you. since the functionality is completely unaffected, i ha no desire to replace the screen. The new owner might choose to so thanks for the info.

This seems to be a discontinued model, however new ones can still be found for sale. They go for around $150 and up; you can check Amazon and/or Google to confirm.

In addition, I'm quite sure that threadcrapping on threads in the FM is against the rules, as well as being highly frowned upon.

You know its interesting when you post and people come out of the blue to crap on a thread. I am asking what i paid for it; nothing more. Pixelated was probably a bad description ; i will get pics up sometime this evening. If youre not interested, dont post. Simple as that. I am a long standing member with a perfect transaction history. If my price is out of line there are much better ways to go about informing the potential buyer. Maybe take it to PM?!?!?!

Research the remote yourselves, look at the prices on ebay and amazon and decide for yourself. I am a member of over 5 years with 2k posts and a flawless transaction history. Pictures of the actual unit are posted.

I can't comprehend how people can threadcrap without taking these things into consideration and attempting to PM either myself or the potential buyer. I am not trying to make money on it or take someone for a ride. If you're interested, please let me know. If not, kindly don't post.

I am pretty sure I have the original retail packaging and manual as well. If I cannot find that, I am willing to go $70 shipped.

Nobody shawn, is trying to threadcrap. The question as to value and my own that I posted above are a result of your oringinal post being rather vague IMHO, and there being no pictures to illustrate what you were talking about.

Sorry to have offended, but as you know the FM here is among the best on the web because we all tend to look out for each other. Your transaction history shows that you are a man of integrity and I would have no problem whatsoever doing business with you. Some more clarification would have gone a long way to keeping the thread clean. I won't post again in the thread.

IMHO it is just a douchey thing to do. It wasn't vague at all, I informed in the post that I would post pics later which I did. It was in this exact condition when I bought it. I get what you are saying and appreciate maintaining the integrity of the flea market but just felt as though there should have been a benefit of the doubt afforded in this case and could have been handled over PM. I wouldn't have cared if you PM'ed potential buyers and said, "Hey, this guy is off his rocker charging that much. Here are some links to better values." Know what I mean? No offense really taken; just a little disappointed that certain freedoms are taken when it is clearly against the forum etiquete and rules.

Well, here we go. The downward spiral begins. You're a **** and everyone here knows it. The first three letters of your screen name says it all. Wow, we went from me providing criticism to you personally attacking me in less than a few minutes...

Fact is, everyone handled this wrong. You didn't handle the original posting correctly with the whole 'feeler' approach, and those guys didn't handle it correctly in questioning your price. If you'd just posted a regular FS ad initially, following all the rules, and they'd questioned your price the blame would fall squarely on them. But since you didn't and they reacted that way you share some of the blame IMO.

Fine, you posted a price later, but the way the whole thread was worded and the whole 'feeler' thing seemed to indicate that you were open to discussing a price, and yet when people did that you got all pissy.

It's nothing personal against you because I don't know you (although you apparently know me and how little everyone apparently thinks of me). The point being made is that this is basically a case study in why we don't de feelers and why the FM rules exist, nothing more nothing less.
