So I've been pretty busy lately and haven't had a chance to talk with my 80 year old neighbor since before xmas. The kids and I are taking it easy on the couch playing video games and there's a quiet knock on the back door. It's Frank with a screwdriver (the kind in a glass) in one hand and a smile on his face. He was just stopping by to say Hi and tell me he knew something was up cause his dishes now rattle in the cupboards and he wanted to check it out.

We sat for a few songs and BS for a bit when he reminded me I hadn't seen his wife's tree this year. I cannot describe this tree so I won't try but it is really really cool. Anyway, I step into his living room to some still xmas music playing on some bloated lows and scratchy as hell highs. Yep you guessed it! BOSE!

I said to my neighbor..."Hey Frank, wait there a minute", I went back to my house where I have this set of 5jr+, I picked up about 2 months ago, sitting in pillow cases in the top of closet. I have done the rd tweet but nothing more. I brought them to his house and said "Merry xams Frank". We hooked them to a rather nice JVC receiver and It wasn't 10 seconds when his wife came in with a smile on her face and said "I heard you guys talking about speakers but damn I didn't think they would sound like that". I responded with, "Just wait until you unplug the other two Bose on the rear channel" LOL.

Screwdrivers and Vivaldi ensued.

It was nice to see them again even though it has only been 3 weeks. It was a pleasant visit. Just thought I'd share the story.

Death to Bose!

Good for you pal, nothing like the holidays to inspire us to spread goodwill and the hatred of Bose. We're changing peoples lives, one "for sale" lifestyle/acoustimass system at a time . .

    Great Karma there man!

I've had people come to my house raving about their Bose, then leaving my house suspicious of everything they have ever known.

Its those "Ah Ha" moments that make audio enjoyable, doesnt matter whose face the reaction is on  (althought I prefer it to be my wife while listening to music after one of my "investments" is installed ).

I had the same experience when I gave my dad a HDMI AVR paired with a set of Monitor 40's and a CS2 for his fathers day/christmas gift.

I dont think they have watched a movie in their other room (pair of old Boston Accoustic A-100's and some car 6x9's in handbuilt boxes) since (although I wish he would take the M 40's off the floor)....

I have a feeling if I get the ps350 a new driver I could talk him out of those other two bose lol.

Seriously, That ol feller mows my lawn about half the time. Not that I let it get long but that he likes our yards (no fences) to be EXACTLY the same height. When I moved in he offered to have my mower tuned up by his mechaniic (at his expense) and have the height set. He has paid for those 5jr in fuel alone 10 times over.

Besides all else he's just a hell of a nice guy. The neighbor to the otherside of him I do not know. Frank told me yesterday that he leaves his dog out in the cold. Frank and I are building a doghouse for the little guy with a light installed. "We are pluggin it into the guys house whether he likes it or not! LOL." (Franks words! I swear lol) Its those types of things that he does that say to me he needs a nice set of speaks.
