Anyone Streaming ESPN3?

I am thinking of cutting the cable TV cord from my house but I am having reservations about losing ESPN college football and basketball games in HD. I have tried streaming ESPN3 to my PC but the picture quality is less than ideal after living with HD sports for so many years. I am wondering if anyone here has had success getting HD (or near HD) quality streaming from ESPN3 and what internet speeds it requires to get there?
I have 10 mbps internet speed currently so I'm wondering if upping that will help much. I can go to 15mbps for $10 more per month or 30mbps $20 more per month. Or pay $100 a month for 50mbps?
However with the added cost of faster internet and Netflix and Hulu Plus subscriptions I may not end up saving very much money...

I've yet to find any streaming service that's as good as the HD feed from my Time Warner, and I have a 35mb connection

Yes. Netflix has good quality HD streams, but they're still not as good as the feed I get from TW or even over the air on my TiVo box.
I generally find streaming from places like ESPN or NBC Sunday Night football lacking even when compared to Netflix.
