Am I just too stupid to figure this out?

Ok... This is not my first home audio setup but I feel like a moron trying to connect the RM705 Subwoofer to my Sony STR-DH810 AVR.

The subwoofer output on the ARV is a single monaural cable and the Input on the subwoofer is either speaker wire or R & L Audio cables.

What am I missing?

    Use either of the left or right inputs, doesn't matter which one.

    Eh, don't sweat it bro, we all ask strange stuff. Now if you asked about making a subwoofer out of a cardboard box, thats another story.

    As long as you have an airhole, cardboard should be fine.

    If you want to plug both sides (L/R) into the sub, just get a Y-cable. Some call them pig tails.
