Hi Gang,
Can anyone please help me identify the speakers in the pic..? They belong to a friend but I haven't physically seen them yet. They look like an older Monitor 10 but I need some confirmation on this and some info on the tweeter used, the fuse value at the back and what type of replacement midbasses and tweeters I can use. Many thanks in advance !

Agreed, some version of Model 10's. I bought this pair on CR several weeks back. They have the same Peerless tweeters but the PR and the drives look different and the way they are mounted is also different. My drivers are clocked 90* from the ones in your pic and my PR has more mounting screws. The PR in your pic looks like an active driver and the cone is not treated with an elastomer coating. Are the drivers foam or butyl rubber surround on yours, hard to tell in the pics.
The connection port on the rear is in a different location and is a different style. I can't read the amp value on the fuse but it looks like a 1A 250V Buss ACG fuse.

Thanks Oldman. I'll have to go visit the guy to check on sight. -
That's definitely an "original Monitor 10" there. You can tell by the material the passive is made of...if you've ever seen any of the adds mhardy has posted for the M7 and M10s you will see that the PR is a non-coated more traditional looking driver like the one in the picture above.
At this point, who knows, this might even be a "collectors" item. Don't know because I have no idea how many M10s were in the first runs? Maybe someone else knows?

My monitor 10's are like that but have 2 fuses on the back not one and a plastic cup for the binding post and fuses which the crossover is mounted too.Absolute corruption empowers absolutely.
