Tl-2600

Hello, I recently purchased a Blackstone TL-2600 system and 1 week after I got it the Subwoofer quit working. I checked the power and it seems the fuse had blown so I replaced it with the proper fuse and as soon as I turn the volume up the fuse blows again. Is this an amp problem? Do I need to send back for warranty? Thanks for any replies.
Happy New Year.

    Hello Topdrive,
I'm sorry you're having a problem. The symptoms sound as though the woofer might have a damaged voice coil, possibly a short. When the volume gets sufficiently high the bass amplifier reacts to the short and blows the fuse. In any event the sub needs attention either with Polk directly or with the audio store who sold you the system.
    Regards, Ken

Ya, that's kinda what I thought. As soon as the volume knob is turned up from 0 it blows the fuse. Thanks for the reply and have a great new year.
