Congrats soundfreak1, I'll be interested to see how you like them. I picked up a pair of 5Bs locally for $70, they guy threw in a pair of 5 jrs. for free along with them. :) I've got the 5Bs running on an old Pioneer amp and have been looking for a home for the 5 jrs. Thinking of sending them to college with my kid for him to use in his dorm room.

Hi all! First post. Just wanted to say that I've owned a pr. of the 5Jr+ since 92 when I bought them new from the local stereo shop. Traded in a pair of Monitor 4's and a few bucks for them. They have served me well. Still sound as sweet as ever. A little more open and up front in the upper-mid and treble ranges than the Monitor 70 series II I replaced them with. Not that I'm disappointed with the 70's. They have so much more bottom end. I used an old 80w JBL Arcsub8 to bolster the bottom end a bit and the Jr's could rock the house.

I'm afraid I have Champaign tastes and a beer pocket. So for the money, Polk speakers have always been an unbeatable value for me. Hope you enjoy the Jr.'s. In a smaller room they can really sound good.
