Hello, I have a Polk 404 sub with Rti 28s for the fronts. I want to move the front 28's to the rear and add a center and new style RTI's for front. By looking at the specs, the RTi 4's seem to be the direct replecement for the 28's while the Rti 6's replace the 38's. Is this assumption correct?

    Yes that is correct.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Correct, but the new RTi series will use a Vifa tweeter so you may have timbre matching problems. IMO if you want to mix, you may want to use the new series for the front soudstage and the old series for the back soundstage, but try to avoid mixing old and new in the same soundstage.
    My 7.1 setup consists of:
    Denon 3803
    Panasonic DVD
    RTi70s front
    CSi40 front center
    RTi28s side surround
    FXi30s back surround
PSW202 Subwoofer - Hey, it's my first sub!
