Just debating these and was curious if one greatly excells over the other, never used either but have heard alot of good with both. Will be used for the 2B's, seen a few used and I understand there are more powerful options but more concerned about current flow.

Someone mentioned a NAD C272 for me a short while back but I want to get all my ducks in a row.

    I have the ST2140. I don't have 2B's.

The general consensus around here is that B&K is a good match for Polk speakers. I know I like it on my RTi10's.
That being said, I'm a B&K fan and a little biased in thier direction. Hopefully, some others will chime in.

I just purchased my ST2140 and I'm in love. It pairs awesome with my Yamaha. I'm not sure how good of a deal I got, but I paid $290 shipped, with only some slight wear one of the edges of the face plate. Nothing a sharpie cant touch up.
    AVR - Yamaha Aventage RX-A800
    Amps - B&K Components ST2140 (for mains) and Parasound HCA-1000A (bi-amping center)
    Mains - RT1000i Towers
    Center - CS400i
    Sub - BIC Acoustech PL200

My neighbors listen to very good music, whether they like it or not

Rotel also makes very good musical gear. If I could I would have an all Rotel gear rack!

Count me in as another B&K fanboy. They are some of my favorite SS amps.

Of course a 2220 may be a consideration.

Since these SDA's are hungry, does the B&K Reference 2200 do anything special over the ST2140, other than power? Seems to be a love for the 2140 which has me curious, the EX4420 is again even stronger but obviously more $$.

Well I landed a ST-202, granted it has some more age but it's in very good condition. Just need to get it and check some voltages.

B&K Fanboy here as well. Warmer than Rotel but either would work well.

Rotel works better with a Rotel preamp. Other pre's may not work very well.
Overall Rotel amps are not as warm as B&K, but a rotel pre/power combo is pretty
    darn good.
