Question about for sale forum decorum

I'm also a member on head-fi.com, and they also operate a for-sale forum similar to club Polk. I found a member listing an item for $150, and then noticed that he dropped his price to $130. Doing a bit of comparison, I checked for the item on eBay, and noticed that the same person (identical user name) is selling the same item on eBay for $110, and is even accepting offers. This person has a very low post count on head fi, so it's not like he's a frequent poster or a frequent seller. Would it be wrong of me to expose the fact that he is trying to sell for more on headfi than he is on eBay? Or should I keep my nose out of it?

Is that against Head-fi sale forum policy? If not, what would be the point of exposing that fact?

Unless your personally interested in the item its probably not worth mentioning. Most folks at Head-Fi will probably do just what you did.

Nothing wrong with alerts being sent through PMs IMO.

Not your business. Head-fi rules will screw you over for pointing it out.
You either offer to buy it, or take it to PM. anything else will earn you a slap
    from the moderators.

It should be about what someone is willing to pay. I would leave it alone. having siad that, if you see a good friend about to pull the trigger---and you know it's cheaper somewhere else--

Yeah, I'll stay out of it. Personally, if I'm selling something here, I would always sell cheaper than what I would on eBay. First of all, I wouldn't need to pay any geez, and second I'd prefer to hook someone up in the forum versus a stranger on eBay. I actually don't have many friends on headfi, it's a very different place than here. Ok, thanks for the feedback.

I'll post something in the forsale forum here.

BUT for alot LESS money, I'm going to see if anybody else in the whole wide world wants it at a deep discount not allowed to this forums' naive members....

And there's guys here that will let me do it knowing about it.

Not dumping on a for sale post no matter what , no matter what is so somebody can find that fool that's born everyday and prey on their failure to do further research.

I've tried to help people in my life, not prey on them or let others do it when I might be of help.

I might have told in another post to point the members to Ebay for a particular item if they happened to be interested.

My money came hard to me. I hate to see it or somebody elses money spent more than is needed. I've seen plenty of that help here too. Nguyendot posted his thread today to help us save a ton on Cameras. He didn't dump on a sale from a member but just his concern for our personal savings that could be had IF we were interested in a new camera.

Personally, if someone pulled that shizz here at CP, I would would post and expose their cheaper ebay link right in their for sale thread.

I'd take care of my forurm brethren, but that's just me.

That was my first line of thought, but I being sensitive to others feelings 99% of my life, I decided to at least play by the common courtesy law and post a new thread about the same item without asking what's going on.

    Side Note on humanity;
I had a guy (I helped many times before) lie and smile right to my face a month ago and swore he wouldn't resell the speakers I was selling to him for a give away price. He was to use them for personal use. He swore it.
He had them listed on his city's craigs list in 25 hrs. for 2X what he paid me and he stated firm on the price in his ad. I thought about about going down and buying them for 2X what he paid me or see what if any discount would be applied...LOL

    I let it go.

Isn't incredible how people can look you right in the eye and lie like that?

Well the good news is I just looked at his thread on headfi and he dropped his price to the same as his eBay listing. My faith in humanity is restored.

That sucks. You probably did the right thing, but I'd certainly be reluctant to ever help him in the future.
