MIT cables

I posted this here since I believe that this is where most of you have the experience with MIT cables and 2 channel audio. I am in the market to upgrade my speaker cables and most likely will go with the biwire method. I currently have a set of 3.1tl's powered by a Mcintosh MC-352 /C-45 preamp.Hopefully I will also be aquiring a pair of 2.3tl's in the near future. Am I correct that the Shotgun S3.3 are not made anymore? There is a Shotgun-MA series which looks like it must be a few grades up as per the cost. Would the MIT model replacement for the S3.3 be the CVT-1 line. Has anybody had any experience or advice with the CVT-1's? While I'm at it, are most of you running your systems thru line conditioners. Any feedback on the Ultralink PGX line?
Thanks Dave

I just bought some 3.3's so i don't think they are obsoolete unless they are phasing them out or something.

My mistake Mike, I just got off the phone with Steve from MIT and he explained the the (available in online store) section still has the Shotguns Listed. I was looking in the (available in store) section. From what he explained to me is that the CVT line will be discontinued for 2012. I'm getting more confused the closer I get to pulling the trigger. Steve seemed to think that the Shotguns maybe the way to go with the SDA speakers and I see that these are available in 3 models also.Mcintosh MC-501 mono blocks

Shotguns are the shizzle in my opinion at least.
I know Joe has been sick but he is THE man to talk with for best application and price.I'm sure he'll be up and running next week.
Talk to him again before making a decision.

Shotguns are good. If you're interested there is a demo on the forum for the CVT series. All you would have to do is pay the cost of shipping and try out both the RCA IC as well as the speaker cables.

I never understood why MIT has so many models along with 'available online' and 'available in stores'.
Anyway, I bought the Shotgun S1.3 interconnects two years ago, and they work great. However, the speaker cables caused the amps to produce pops and distortion. Apparently, the electronics in the cables did not like my amps being in bridged mono mode. If I put the amp back to stereo they worked fine. So, I went with the Shunyata Ananconda Ztron speaker cable instead.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
