I would choose most sda's over any of the Monitor/RTA line. Of course you give no other details about how this will be used, room size, other components, listening preference's, etc.

The experience will be quite different and quite exhilirating because of the wide, deep soundstage. But they need to be on the proper stands and set-up correctly to get the full benefit. It takes a fair amount of real estate to set up SDA's properly for full benefit. Looking at many of the set-ups in the Showcase, a large percentage of SDA owners don't have them set-up to get full benefit.

I love the rta 12'b sound, but also have the 12c's . Seems redundant and would like to try some sda's. From what I've read here the sda1/2's offer a diff. But lateral step in sound ( more or less) would like to reduce over all size on my bedroom sys. About 19x15 room. They will be driven by 400w of high-current (65a peek power) moded parasound hca1200 and a dared sl2000a pre with telefunkens tubes. Ultimately would want some sda 2.3 tl's but "money" . So just wondering what I might expect.

The CRS's would be great in a bedroom with proper stands. They need some breathing room on the sides.

I would really try and find a pair of CRS+'s because they get rid of the dimensional tweeter. I am not a fan of SDA's with a dimensional tweeter.
