Well considering how this thread got started I would just keep the CHT 10 and be happy before you do piss your wife off .....

Then again, if that crisis has passed, I would snag a SVS over a Velodyne any time... take a SVS over most subs except maybe those wicked little sunfires that I have been drooling over lately... but now we are talking bucks...

As for the DLP - it is great, had mine for about 3 or 4 months now and am very happy with it... DVDs look just fantastic on this display, it has some great electronics in it... DCDi, DINe.

The only problem with this TV is it VERY sensitive to the quality of your input... you feed it a clean signal and you get a GREAT picture, you feed it a crappy cable signal you get 50" (61" in your case) of crappy picture.... it just magnifies the problems.. some that you would never notice on a 27" or so...

Faster, Sorry that color will not match the room.. My wifes into contemperary and its all black and white with silver accents..

Ken, i'm really freakin interested in the SVS subs.. Though space is limited so the CS models would seem to fit better in the room..

Heres the layout of my new condo..

    brentwood_floor.gif

My new TV will be infront of the main window in the living room.. The front speakers will be on the sides about 2 1/2' from the corners.. So as you can see space is tight.. but i'm thinkin i might beable to sneek the CS in one of those 2 corners perferably the left corner.

Now is there a difference in the CS models from the box one? I know i've read everything on the SVS site but know knows if there telling all..

In your opinon which one should i be lookin at for a condo with people livin below and only moderate listening levels.. Ofcourse i could make friends with them very quickly when i get the whole HT setup when i get the TV finally hehe.

You'll want a PCi over a CS if you want the onboard amp. The CS is passive and needs an external amp.
