FXi for side surrounds in di-pole mode.. placed just behind your listening area about 2-3 feet above you head.
A3's for back surrounds if you so decide.. but not totally necessary.. -

Thanks placed order for FXI's. Is there a big difference in bi-pole or di-pole?

Keep in mind there is a left and right speaker with the FXi series.
Di-pole mode keeps the front facing drivers in phase with your main speakers, and the rear facing tweeter out of phase with everything else. This helps create the defused sound field.
Bi-Pole mode all the drivers in the speaker are in phase with everything else.
Give both modes a try and see which you like. I found di-pole to be much more open sounding. -
Thanks I picked up the speakers fxi a4 and yes dipole sounds better than bipole and more open you are right.
