Seeing as this is a 'Polk' website. I think it would be good for you to display *something* Polk along side your other gear. That and maybe have some *actual* pictures of the rig.

No Polks? Perhaps there is an Athena forum you could post it at? I know Audioreview has a open 'pic of my rig' section, you could try there.

Cheers,
Russ

Actually shipping is 'free' right now. I mean, considering he picked the entire rig from the Audioadvisor catalog, they are running a special.

    Cheers,

Wow, never thought of doing a system showcase like that.

In that case I'm going to update my showcase with my new krell seperates and dynaudio tempations.

*off to search for pics of his new system*

While I'm at it, I'm gonna post a pic of my new car too. It's an $80,000 2004 Range Rover.

Russman it's ALL gonna be in the shop next time I see you though.

    /sarcasm

I'm bored at work today, if you can't tell. :)

Not everyone's Sid. Only when it has nothing to do with Polk at-all. Just keeping it 'real', if I didn't, would you?

Imagine what the showcase would look like - if people found out they could just register and post thier (non Polk) system. They wouldn't even need thier own site anymore.

Hey, I'm all for variety - I own a lot more than Polk. I just think a showcase HERE should have SOMETHING Polk in it.

I'll get my showcase on in the not so distant future.

Ok. I'll remove my system showcase. Just clear up an error, only my preamp, speaker cable and interconnects were purchased at Audio Advisor, my amp came from "All Home Theater" and the Cambridge CD Player from Audio Lab.

I've owned 3 different series of Polk's through out the years, and have always had great respect for Polk products--in fact, I originally came to this forum when I was considering the RTi70's and trying to see how they compared with the Athena.

I enjoy talking audio and sharing my 30 yrs of knowledge and experience with folk's new to high-end audio. This was my intent when posting here.

So, if the you must be a current Polk owner to be here, no problem I'll move on; but it doesn't say much about the company or loyalty to its customers, past and present.

Quit trying to put a 'spin' on it, that was never there.

Nobody said ANYTHING about your participation or who can 'be here' - the topic was about the system showcase, and the lack of ANY Polk products in yours.

    Cheers,
    Russ

thats what chemicals do. I have a feeling even naturally occuring beverages (orange juice) would do some pretty f'ed up things if you soaked something in it for that long. Your stomach and saliva neutralize the coke

But that's discrimination. If I can't keep my weak brain cells working, shouldn't I quit posting on the life forum? After all, I could blame it on russman.

Beer is good, and it always will be.

I do have to punch myself in the gut every now and then, to get that damn liver working, but I am fine other than that.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

So this is what the whole fuss is about?

Where is the call to arms with pitchforks to run off the cretins?

Sounds to me like someone got a little oversensitive about what I think is a rather obvious question.
