new speakers - rti or tsi

I'm swapping out some 10 year old denon speakers that blew I had in my 5.1 setup.

I'm looking at getting the tsi100 and cs10 (at 130 each 260 total) or the rti4 and csi3 combo for the same price for my front and center. I have some t15s that I was going to use for the rear. Should I go with the rti or the tsi? Alternatively I can do the rti6 at 200 and the csi5 at 200 ($400). Is this a substantial improve for an additional 140?

This is primarily for surround sound not music (movies and video games).

I would pay the extra $140 for the bigger and better RTi6's and the CSi5 if it was me. A lot better Bang for the Buck than your other options especially for your front 3. Add the RTi4's for rear surrounds at a later date if you decide to go with a 5.1 system. Or buy a set of towers later on for your front L & R and move the RTi6's to the back surrounds. The CSi5 will still match up with the towers where the CSi4 may not do as well.

Would the t15s not be suitable rears - or are those just way too subpar. For example, are they going to be drowned out or too washed out.

You could still use the Ti5's for the rear.....but if you decide to make a change later on, you could go with the RTi line. Matching the front 3 with the same series is more important.

Cool. I pulled the trigger on the rti6/csi5 combo. If I were to swap out the sub if I decide that the one I have isn't cutting it with these speakers, which one should I go for? Would the psw10 be fine or should I pay the extra 100 for the psi225.

Someone in another post just reported that the PSW 505 Sub is now on at Newegg for $169. I would pick that one over the other 2. The 505 is a very good sub and is always on sale.
