I have a Harmon Kardon 254 and a Adcon 5400 running 5.1 with the adcom running the fronts. I recently got a set of Bose headphones and when I plug them in the volume is very low even with the HK turned way up. Is this caused due to the fact that I'm running out of the HK to the Adcom for the fronts? or is there something I'm missing. Thanks for any help.

anyone have any idea? The headphones are the AE2i , maybe they are only meant for mp3 , ipods , computers , etc.

No idea, but you could ask at head-fi.org. They could probably help you out. Looks like your not getting much help here.

I couldn't imagine that the amp has anything to do with your lack of volume through the headphones. I think I would begin troubleshooting by testing other headphones on the same headphone jack out of the HK that you are using. If the other headphones seem fine, your problem is the Bose headphones (wouldn't be a shocking discovery by the way).

If on the other hand the other headphones also seem low in volume, then the problem is likely with the HK.
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

Try them on an ipod and see if they still arent loud, so you can see if its a problem with the headphones or the headphone jack.
