Speakers with 505

Have the PSW505 Sub already, thinking to go either with RtiA5 or RtiA7. Which one would you recommend? Not planning to change the sub anytime soon. If an amp is a must with RtiA7, it would be few months before I invest in that.

Also, since bookshelf (Rti4) seems to be on crazzy deal these days, could they pair well with PSW505. Current apt size 14x20, budget up to about $700 is fine but really wanted to see if its worth to pay extra on top of RtiA5 when I already have a sub. 70% music, rest HT. Thanks

I would go with the RTiA7's. The RTi4"s would also match well for the surrounds and the PSW 505 would fit in nicely as it was matched with the RTi line from the beginning. I have a similar setup only using the RTi10's in front (Similar model before the 7's with same drivers ) but later replaced my PSW 505 for an SVS Sub. The 505 will go in a downstairs setup, as I like it and didn't want to sell it. This time of year the 7's should go on for a good price.

Thanks Larry, with little research I can get RtiA5 pair for 450 but A7 for 700. Essentially you mean, its worth speding another $250 event if I have sub psw505. Would the difference in sound would be so much noticeable between both.

    Thanks again

Newegg had the RTiA7's on sale two weeks ago for $299 and will likely have the sale again. Thats a good price for these towers. If the price is right for you, I would buy the 7's over the 5's. If budget is tight then the 5's may do you. Sub aside, I would always lean towards the best speakers overall especially considering future years when the upgrade bug could start to bite. For 2 channel music you may even find that the 7's would do nicely even without the sub, and would be the better option if you decided to add an Amp later on.
