Well the wife said if I start cooking drivers I can replace them all with new so that gives me all the spares I need.

I have (3) 6511's and (4) 6510's. I want to sell them all as one deal so I'm giving it a few days as a package. $200 +shipping for all 7. I will nuke proof the box. If you need pics I can but I don't suppose its required.

    I've had good luck when the shipper used threaded bolts and nuts with plastic spacers to put the drivers together facing each other. The plastic spacers were about 1/2" long and they used four bolts, nuts, and spacers per set of speakers. Bubble-wrapped to the hilt and packaged securely.

    I thought about the face to face thing but went with the 2 per box screwed to the closed cell instead. I don't think they will go anywhere even if they weren't screwed down :)

    I put the boxes face to face in a larger box with bubble wrap on either side. I know the shippers are rough but they would literally have to Ace Ventura these to cause any issues lol.

    I just shipped two 6510's to a member here a few weeks ago and had them packed to survive a bomb and both had issues with rubbing coils when they arrived and I have shipped many drivers since being a member here.

    Yes I refunded him his money..

    Makes me wonder if temperature extremes during transit bring on the last straw for the magnet to basket bond. Once it's broken it don't take much to shift. That goes for storing them in storage units too. Just a thought.
