Looking for speaker manufacturers.....

In Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. The reason being......I want to build speakers. I'm sick of struggling and want to have a career in something I really enjoy doing. It has been years since I have really built any and would like to get back to it. If I had the capital I'd start doing it for myself, starting with subs. But I am not able to start anything like that as I would have to buy all of the wood working toosl, plus drivers and wood, plus, plus plus......you get the idea. So I don't care if you know if they are hiring or not..I just need some Ideas so I can get some resumes out. Any help would be great. I am ready to relocate and need to do so to support my family. Like I said I'm sick of just trying to get by or getting ahead of the game just to be kicked right back down. So any help anyone can give me would be great. I have searched for about 20 hours so far, but with our insanely slow internet it is hard to weed through all of the junk to find what I am actually looking for.

If you can't find a speaker manufacturer. You should look into cabinet builders. Good money in that.

That is a good backup plan..... But building just cabinets is boring and it would get old pretty quick, still not going to discount that though. I'm looking for a career in something I would love doing Vs. a job I would end up bored with. On the flip side, I could pick up some more skills that would aid me in my pursuit of happiness, or in starting my own company.
Thank you for the suggestion. -
Good luck. No easy task trying to build something in the U.S. these days for any manufacturer. The 2009-10 year in China was a real eye-opener there. Hope you get some leads.
I had a carpenter match and install a kitchen cabinet to fill in a space (16" X 30" X 10") that was left when we put in a new hood. He did a really great job but I was out $1300 for something I kinda could of bought pre-fab for a few hundred. I don't regret doing it. But there's that cost problem again.
All the best!
