    I saw the trailer and was mostly "meh" about it...till they started singing.

    That's the kind of music that really draws me into a story. I'll definitely be getting the soundtrack JUST for that song (and any others like it).

    Has anyone read The Children of Hurin? The story of Turin Turambar was my favorite part of the Silmarilion so naturally I was very excited when this came out a few years ago. If you've read TS, there's not much new information, but it's not written like a history book, so it's a lot more fun to read. Turin is the ultimate tragic badass and Glaurung is one of the meanest foes in the entire Tolkien universe. He's like Smaug on steroids. If you like The Hobbit and LoTR but the Silmarilion scares you, give The Children of Hurin a read, it's quite good.
