Hi everyone,

It's my first post and I'm hoping you can give me some advice.

What do you think of my current speaker set-up? The reason I'm asking is that I'm moving to a house with a larger TV/family room (about 20'x20' with cathedral ceilings) and I'm wondering if this speaker system will work.

Current speaker arrangement is:

Center: Polk CSi30
Mains and Surround: 4 Polk RM2350s
Velodyne Sub model CHT-10

If it matters, I running an older Harman Kardon AVR 225 receiver that needs upgrading to something with HDMI and a little more power. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks.

Sounds like a nice setup. For a receiver, I would recommend the Pioneer Elite sc05, if you can find one. There is a newer version of that out, but I'm unsure of the model. Good luck.

The room is a bit big for your speakers for anything more than HT. I would recommend getting towers for the fronts.

What about some in-wall or ceiling options instead of the RM2350s? I really don't want speakers on rear shelves, so I'm also considering some TCi80s or RCi80s x 4.
