Does anyone know if the Emotiva UPA-2 amp is big enough to drive these demanding speakers. The amp is rated
185x2 at 4 ohms. I was told I need a lot more to get good clean powerful sound.
It will be replacing a HK3490 that runs 150x2 and it sounds good right now..
Any thoughts. And what are you guys using

going that HK, it is more like a side way, not really an upgrade. you will need double the power to hear any difference. what you will hear is the difference in sound, probably brighter because HK tends to be warmer. the HK that you have now is very good, designed for music. I'd not do it, not worth the hassle
